I was just playing around with my scrapbooking card stock, when I came up with the idea to make my own note pad. This is what I came up with.

SCS swaps

I got hooked swapping 3-D gift projects and cards on www.splitcoadtstampers.com and I have even started hosting some swaps. You can find me there under " bish " I was in 2 swaps for cards useing stamps with cats. So I thought that I would use the stamp set " cats meow " I'm not one for useing bright colors, but I sure like the way the cards turned out.

Christmas in July

Ashley and I went to card making class over at Angela's house. This week's theme was Christmas in July. Looked like all the girls there had a good time. There was sweats, candy, apple cider and a table top tree. We made 2 cards and a bagalope. Thank you Angela once again for a fun filled night.

Oh, Baby!

Here is a card that I had a fun putting together. I have been trying different styles of baby cards to do up as a thank you gift pack for my sister
in-law. Our new family member will be here in Sept. and I have a lot of work ahead of me. I used regal rose, barely banana, sage shadow and whisper white card stock. I sponged regal rose onto the the card stock, and black ink on the wash day wheel, The bunny from a new little someone stamp set and the the words from small sayings. I used SU chalks and my blender pen for all the coloring. A dry baby wipe works well for a baby blanket, just make a little slit on the inside on the bunny's arm. The bunny is matted on a piece of sage shadow and pop dotted to give a 3D look. I'll post another baby card latter on.

Get Well Soon

I made this card for my 4 year old when she came down with a mild case of the croup. I used my cuttlebug for the background and used water color crayons in some of the flowers and it was used in the summer by the sea stamp. The glitter really sets off the card just right for a litter girl.

Teacher's gift

Here is a cute little teacher's gift that Allya will give to her Male pre-school teacher. The portfolio is made with a (8.5 X 11) card stock score the longer side at 2" to create the pocket and then score width side at 5.5" to create the portfolio. Adhered with sticky strip to the outer sides of the pockets. Cut a triangle out of the center of the pocket so that it will fold flatter. I will cut computter paper to fit inside of the portfolio and stamp a truck on each paperI also plan to make a pen to match the cover.

Birthday Wishes

HAPPY 39th. Brithday Randy. Allya made this card for her Daddy's Birthday. Not bad at all for a 4 year old. She made it at a SU party I had, back in April.

Eating Healthy

Back in Nov. I made a personal commitment to set a small goal and eat healthy. Because it is the right thing for me, to do at this time in my life. My goal is to shed off at least 50 lbs. before Nov. 2007. Once I reach that goal, I'll set another one. I have lost 30 lbs. already. A lot of water does work. I have also cut down on the amount of pop I drink. I am enjoying veggies a lot more. Now I can go up and down the stairs several times without puffing like I use to in the past. My some of my clothing are getting big for me. I'll buy some new clothing after I reach my 50 lb. goal. I'm doing this with nothing but hard work. No help from any programs or gym memberships, I just don't have that kind of money. Why am I getting this out in the open.... Maybe because this is a way to keep me true to myself and the goal ahead. This a life change I must do for me..

Home again

To make a long story short, I have been sick with the cold all week long. Fri. afternoon after seeing the family Doc. I was sent to the hospital. Not remembering to much of the past 3 days, getting up to do things that have already been done, not ansering questions very well, not eating well at all and my face feeling droopy on one side. I thought ok it's viral and send me home, like I had just before the Christmas holidays. The doc. ordered all kinds of tests, even a cat scan. One of many Doc's came in and said they didn't see any thing wrong but the cat scan is being done in the A.M. and they will have a room ready for me soon. I had to stay over night. As it turns out that I just had a asmea/cold that went viral, and with not sleeping and eating much in the week made things worse. They uped my puffers and came home on Sat. I still need to rest a lot and see the family Doc. in about 2 weeks time.
